ECO Team Avon Schools Eco Network Trip

The Worrall Road Eco team had a great trip this week to Henleaze Junior School who were hosting an Avon Schools Eco Network workshop. The children worked together with Eco teams from other Bristol schools sharing ideas about how to protect nature and be more sustainable in our schools and local communities.

Here are a few photos from the day where they explored green wildlife corridors with local maps, learnt about growing microgreens, tried high protein insect snacks, listened to young climate activists, made signs for Earth Day, spoke with a school in Uganda online about a tree planting project to name a few of the activities… They also spent time with Sandy the Kestrel and butterflies and ducklings in the school garden.
