I am a programmer with more than ten years of experience in software development across various domains such as healthcare, aerospace, insurance and finance.
Giving back to society is something I am passionate about – on top of my day job, I am actively involved with the Charity committee at work to help identify charities and connect them with volunteers.
I strongly believe that a school, especially primary, plays a pivotal role in inculcating the right values and good education to the children, to grow up and be responsible citizens. Today’s learning environment is quite complex, in contrast to a few decades ago. While on the one hand, technology cannot be shunned, it is also necessary to ensure the kids are safe with the digital media. I am excited to be able to observe from a close quarter how the education system navigates around today’s technologies, carefully treading the fine line.
With my daughter studying at St. John’s, I have been associated with the vibrant and welcoming community for the past two years and am glad to be able to contribute towards education in my local area, by being a part of the governing body.
